Detailed Course Policy for New Students

Welcome to the course! To ensure a positive learning environment and help students complete their course on time, the following detailed policies apply to all new students:

  1. Class Attendance
  • Mandatory Attendance Requirement: Students are required to attend at least 80% of the scheduled classes for the course.
    • Attendance is monitored regularly, and failure to meet this minimum attendance may get lower marks.
    • Students are advised to attend all classes to ensure they grasp the full course material.
  1. Exams
  • Compulsory Exam Attendance: All students must attend and complete the scheduled exams.
    • If a student is unable to attend an exam due to a valid reason (such as medical emergencies), prior permission must be obtained from the course administrator.
    • Failure to attend exams without valid justification will result in a failure for that subject or module, potentially delaying course completion.
  1. Assignments and Submission Policy
  • Timely Submission Required: Assignments are a critical part of the learning process, and students must submit all assignments by the due date assigned by the course instructor.
    • Late Submission Penalties:
      • If an assignment is submitted late, the following penalties will apply:
        • Up to 2 days late: 5% deduction of total marks.
        • 3 to 7 days late: 10% deduction of total marks.
        • 8 to 14 days late: 20% deduction of total marks.
        • Beyond 14 days: significant marks will be reduced for the assignment unless a valid reason is provided and approved by the course coordinator.
    • It is essential that students adhere to deadlines to avoid penalties and maintain a good standing in the course.
  1. Course Completion Timeline
  • One-Year Completion Requirement: All students must complete their course within one year from the date of admission.
    • The one-year period includes all course requirements such as attending classes, submitting assignments, and passing all required exams.
    • Students who fail to complete the course within the one-year timeframe will be required to follow the policies for delayed completion (see below).
  1. Course Fees and Payment Policy
  • Payment During Course Duration: Course fees must be paid within the period the batch is running, which is within one year of admission.
    • Failure to pay the course fees during this time may result in the suspension of access to classes, exams, and course materials until the fees are cleared.
    • Completion After One Year: If a student fails to complete the course within one year, they will need to pay the current running course fees applicable at the time they resume their studies in order to complete the course. This amount may differ from the original fees due to changes in the fee structure over time.

Detailed Policy for Old Students (Registration Period Exceeds One Year)

For students who have been enrolled in the course for over one year without completing all requirements ( course fees, Exams, attendance etc. ), the following policies apply:

  1. Renewal of Registration
  • Mandatory Renewal: Students who have exceeded the one-year limit without completing the course must renew their registration to continue.
    • During the renewal process, students will be required to pay the current running course fees that are applicable at the time of renewal. This may be higher than the fees originally paid due to adjustments in the fee structure.
    • Renewal is essential for gaining access to any remaining classes, exams, and assignments required for course completion.
  1. Penalty Fees for Delay
  • Penalty for Late Completion: In addition to the course fees applicable at the time of renewal, students must pay a penalty fee of BDT 5000/- for not completing the course within the one-year period.
    • This penalty applies to cover administrative costs and the additional time taken by the student to complete the course.
  1. Completion Requirements After Renewal
  • After the renewal process, students are expected to complete any remaining exams, assignments, and attendance requirements promptly.
    • Failure to complete the course even after renewal will result in additional penalties, and further steps will need to be discussed with the course administrator.

These policies are designed to ensure students remain committed to their studies and complete the course within a reasonable timeframe.

By enrolling in the course, all students agree to abide by these policies to ensure their academic success.
